The
challenge of this - the first significant executed - project
was to incorporate a parking garage under a courtyard and existing
historic building in the centre of Ljubljana, as well as an
intervention into a public space, dominated by the architecture
of Jože Plečnik. Built below ground, three parking levels significantly
raised the real estate value of client's headquarters while
providing new communications within existing building. Above,
the derelict courtyard was transformed into a city atrium with
greenery and a fountain.
