The concept of the complex is derived from surrounding natural
environment and program tectonics. Narrow strips of apartments,
undulating towards the sea, establish the movement of residents
from entrance (north) to the large glass partition with sea
view (south). Small-scale cellular structure provides for
a higher level of individuality and identification. The "strips"
system provides unobstructed but sheltered sea views for all
apartments, dynamic of composition is derived from the flowing
terrain. White volumes with brick roofs reinterpret traditional
local building type while faceted slanted roofs lower the
overall height. Hotel structure is faceted to follow the terrain,
its volume serves as a buffer between the beach and apartments
behind.
Invited competition: first place.
